Airventure Cup Race once again proved successful, safe, and fun and has set the stage and raised the bar for next years 20th anniversary. This year the winds were kind and allowed for stellar speeds and great competition including Mike Patey’s earth shattering 438.02 MPH in his returning Turbine Legend “Turbulence”. That’s no type folks. A new AVC Cup record and we’re sure several other records have fallen as well. In other race classes we had several incredibly tight races within the different categories decided by mere hundredths of a second. Also notable were 3 rare 50+ year old Meyers 200’s who all also posted over 200 + MPH.
